  The earth and the fullness with which it is stored, The world and its dwellers belong to the Lord; For He on the seas its foundations has laid, And firm on the waters its pillars has stayed. What man shall the hill of Jehovah ascend, And who in the place of His presence attend? The man of pure heart and of hands without stain, Who swears not to falsehood nor loves what is vain. That man ever blest of Jehovah shall live, The God of salvation shall righteousness give; For this is the people, yea, this is the race, The Israel true that is seeking His face.

  The earth belongs unto the Lord, And all that it contains; The world that is inhabited, And all that there remains. For the foundations thereof He on the seas did lay, And He hath it establishèd Upon the floods to stay. Who is the man that shall ascend Into the hill of God?   The earth with all her fullness owns Jehovah for her sovereign Lord; The countless myriads of her sons Rose into being at His Word. His Word did out of nothing call The world, and founded all that is; Launched on the floods this solid ball, And fixed it in the floating seas. But who shall quit this low abode, Who shall ascend the heavenly place, And stand upon the mount of God, And see his Maker face to face? He that abhors and fears to sin, Whose heart is pure, whose hands are clean, Him shall the Lord the Savior bless, And clothe his soul with righteousness.   Lord God of Hosts, within Whose hand Dominion rests on sea and land, Before Whose word of life or death The strength of nations is but breath: O King, enthroned all thrones above, Give strength unto the land we love. Thou Breath of Life since time began, Breathing upon the lips of man, Hast taught each kindred race to raise United word to sound Thy praise: So, in this land, join, we beseech, All hearts and lips in single speech. To George our saint Thou gavest grace Without one fear all foes to face, And to confess by faithful death That Word of Life which was his breath. O help us, Helper of Saint George, To fear not bonds that man can forge. Arm us like him, who in Thy trust Beat down the dragon in the dust; So that we too may tread down sin And with Thy saints a crown may win. Help us, O God, that we may be A land acceptable to Thee.
